As a media technician you have knowledge of information technology as well as design and communication and you are THE professional when it comes to producing and using multimedia. As a media technician, you are a professional when it comes to producing and using multimedia. You combine knowledge of computer science, design and communication to achieve the greatest possible impact in new media. You want to understand and apply design principles and teamwork appeals to you.
Our mediamatics apprentices receive a broad-based basic education in the following areas: Photography and video production, web development, marketing and administration.

What you do exactly
Development of print and digital media projects
Creating and editing film sequences, sound recordings or photos
Participation in events
Working with content management systems (e.g. website)
Planning, execution and implementation of simple projects
What you should bring with you
The focus is on the technical/craft direction, so an interest in this area is an advantage. At Komax, we also offer optimal conditions for women to succeed in STEM professions (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology).
School requirements
- Secondary school (level A) or cantonal school with good results
- Flair for foreign languages, especially English and a second national language
