Schleuniger invests very successfully in the unmistakable design of its machines: The company won three international design awards in 2022 and was awarded a Special Mention. The award-winning products may be viewed from February 4-19 in a special exhibition at the Museum Angewandte Kunst (Museum of Applied Arts) in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Schleuniger’s Transfer Line Family S50 is impressive in the market as well as in the design world. The machine was awarded the German Design Award 2023 in the “Excellent Product Design – Industry” category. The jury particularly praised the progressive, high-quality appearance of the machine. But that’s not all. Last year, the machine was also the winner in the "Industry" category at the Swiss Technology Award and the iF Design Awards. The Strip Series B300 also received a Special Mention from the German Design Award.
Investing in product design with tangible benefits
This abundance of design awards is no coincidence. Schleuniger has placed great importance on product design for years. In 2019, the company launched a new Visual Brand Language developed in-house. The core elements of the Schleuniger brand have been visually transferred to the machines in such a way that they convey the company’s values at first glance and make them come alive.
The successes of the Schleuniger design team prove that outstanding design is more than a nice thing to have, even for capital goods. Burim Selimi is responsible for product design at Schleuniger at the group level. He is convinced that "Good design is not just 'beautiful'. It also stands for user-friendliness and first-class user experience." And the product designer knows that good design sells: “There is a proven correlation between design best practice and financial performance.”
Good design as an expression of innovative value
Another important factor is recognition, Burim Selimi explains: "Good design embodies the innovative value of a product. This is a key factor in differentiating your product from competing products and thus is crucial to brand positioning." Customer surveys have provided evidence for this: “A well-designed machine creates the impression of being technically better and working more precisely.” And at Schleuniger, this is not just a visual promise.
Award-winning Schleuniger machines for a short time in a museum
Schleuniger is back in the spotlight from February 4-19, 2023. As part of the German Design Award, the award-winning machines will be showcased in a special exhibition at the Museum Angewandte Kunst (Museum of Applied Arts) in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, together with the products, concepts and implementations of the other prize winners. Talks and guided tours will also be held, which will promote the discourse on current design topics. Visitors are cordially welcome.
